Gary tried to shake the feeling that he forgot something. The sensation nagged in the back of his mind ever since he left the house earlier in the morning. Driving in his white 2001 Oldsmobile, he racked his brain to figure out what it was he forgot to do. He’d taken out the garbage, turned on the security alarm, and left a bowl of food out for his cat Muffintop. Gary was so distracted that he didn’t see the oncoming bus barreling toward his driver’s side door. It was at that moment, he remembered what he forgot.
He left his wife’s lover’s body in the trunk of his car.
